Discovering the fascinating world of Oltremare
Visiting Oltremare is like leafing through a book with magical pages, revealing details of a world that is right before our eyes but constantly eludes us. In this incredible park, located in Riccione near Aquafan, you will make exciting discoveries about the earth, its history, and the sea that surrounds it.
There are many creatures to admire when visiting Oltremare, from marine animals such as dolphins and seahorses to land animals such as birds, insects, and farm animals.
The journey to Oltremare begins with the history of Pianeta Terra (Planet Earth), a route designed specifically to show all the details of Earth’s evolution, from prehistory to the appearance of man, a journey spanning millions of years, with realistic reproductions of dinosaurs.
Pianeta mare (Planet Sea), on the other hand, is a huge exhibition dedicated to the marine environment, with specimens of the largest fish, such as sharks, and strange ones, such as sunfish. In particular, two new features were introduced in 2010, with large aquariums and interactive tanks where you can come face to face with the most bizarre and entertaining species of the sea. The tour ends with the observation of dolphins from a large underwater window, with explanations and interesting facts provided by the trainers.
By the way, you too can become a trainer for a day, experiencing the thrill of being alongside these fantastic creatures as they perform beautiful tricks in the Dolphin Lagoon. Among the eleven specimens housed in the park, you will meet Ulisse, the curious dolphin.
Another new feature this year is the opportunity to become a falconer, learning the true art of training falcons according to special techniques known from ancient traditions.
A visit to the Hippocampus area, a reserve where seahorses, pipefish, and sea dragons are housed, free to move around in their natural habitat, will be amazing, not only for children.
To top it all off, there is the icing on the cake, the I max, a unique film experience that will immerse you in three-dimensional projections of nature documentaries, with video and audio effects that will give you the impression of experiencing the projection in reality.
Book your stay at the Albergo Ardesia, where you will be welcomed into a family atmosphere just a stone’s throw from the sea and a few minutes from Oltremare, with lots of offers for you and your children.
